Inspiring Change
The World Can Change One Birthday at a Time
The team at Inspired Birthdays believes a birthday can serve as an invaluable opportunity to enrich a child's character and broaden their horizons. The first of its kind in the nation, this birthday event concept creates memorable and unique celebrations that help young children learn and embrace the concepts of community stewardship, social responsibility and sustainability. Through alliances with leading nonprofit organizations including the Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center (SAARC), The Wellness Community, Ballet Arizona and Gabriel's Angels, Inspired Birthdays leverages the birthday party to expose children to their world through such themes as the environment, arts and culture, health and wellness, animals and the community. Every element of the party, from the decorations, food and entertainment to the games, crafts and goodie bags, explores the chosen theme in ways that are informative, inspiring and fun. "Our goal was to find a diverse range of high-touch, low-tech activities that are as interesting and engaging as they are inspirational and educational," said Rhonda Bannard, founder of the company.Inspired Birthdays also provides parents with a stress-free experience that allows them to relax and focus their full attention on the birthday child. Birthday Stewards orchestrate every aspect of party planning and implementation, from assisting with invitations and welcoming guests to the distribution of the gift bags and post-party clean up. It’s all done in eco-friendly fashion, using only organic cleaning products and ensuring that waste is recycled.
"Our hope is that children will incorporate the practices they've learned at our parties into their daily activities," Bannard says. "When a child taps into their unlimited potential for inspired citizenship and good works, they gain a source of meaning and satisfaction that transforms both their lives and those of our shared community."
